I am trying to collect the older set. I already own the reprint of #7 and #9 but I bought them anyway so I can give the new books to my niece (as Jenn is collecting them for her). I think this is my favorite find of the day.

Slap a coat of paint on there...

I apologize for the lack of posts. There have been changes in my professional life that has left me with a severe decrease in personal time.

I realized I hadn't posted pictures yet of my newly painted craft room.

This project was pretty exiting for me because this was the first time in my life I got to paint and personalize a room of my own. I spent a long time in the home improvement store staring at the assorted paint chips, mouth slightly agape, wondering how in the world I was only going to pick one color out of the rainbow displayed before me. I wanted something that would somewhat match my (hideous) rugs, so I chose a light purple. "Purple Gala" to be exact. I realize it may not be other people's cup of tea, but I love it. I feel like such a princess in this room.

I have a little bit more stuff in the room now, but the room still pretty much remains undecorated. One of my next projects will be to make curtains for the windows. I am a novice at the sewing machine, but I think curtains would make a great first project. Also, I have been working on paper mache masks recently and am considering displaying them on the only wall without a window. I bought a handful of those hooks that don't damage the wall so that I can move the masks around to change the asthetic if need be.

And do you remember when I asked for help wondering what to do with this table and mirror? Well, I painted the bejeezus out of it and turned the mirror into a bulletin board using cardboard and two rolls of cork liner (slicing my leg pretty badly with a utility knife in the process). You can't see very well in the pictures, but I even bought purple push pins in the shape of stars!
