Aprons Ahoy!

I am taking a break from posting about my thrift finds to talk about another purchase I made recently: these two ADORABLE aprons from The Apron Diva.

Black & White damask & polka dot half apron with pocket

Lemon half apron with pocket

Please forgive the fact that I didn't iron them before I took the picture. I fell in love with both of these aprons on her facebook site. I initially decided on the black and white damask half apron. I had to snatch it up before somebody else bought it. No matter what though, I couldn't stop thinking about the lemon one as well. It was so cheery. I could see myself using the lemon one in the spring/summer time and the damask one in the fall/winter. As luck would have it, a few days later The Apron Diva popped up at my work again. This time she happened to have the lemon one in her car. I knew I wouldn't forgive myself if I let that one get away too, so I bought that one as well. I am extremely pleased with both of my purchases. I highly recommend her for your high fashion apron needs.

A little bit of sillyness

Of course Libby and I had to stop by the Salvation Army last Saturday as well. They had a lot of new stuff in and their prices were higher than I thought they should be on some items.

Cheery orange butterfly whistling tea kettle - $1.69

Half apron with side pocket - $2.99
(please excuse the half naked, half limbed mannequin. i didn't want to pose in the picture myself and didn't feel like getting her dressed. she has been stuffed under a shelf for so long and won't be displayed until i move into the new craft room. i pulled her out just for this shot.)

Bellows - $5.00

Of course the most expensive item is also my most frivolous item. I have an ever growing supply of fireplace paraphernalia now that this new house has a fireplace/wood stove. I can definitely start a fire, and keep a fire going, without a bellows but it wouldn't be nearly as much fun. Of course we won't be using it much now that we have warmer weather, but it is there to use in the future.
