Picture Map

Yard Sales with Katie continued...

$5.00

This map and the paperwork that came with it is all in German. I have no idea what it says but the frame is teak and worth well more than $5.00. I also need stuff to hang on the walls because my entire house is bare. My friend took a few years of German so she is going to help me translate some of it.

Records

I went to some yard sales with my friend Katie a few weekends ago. Much fun was had and many treasures were found. The next few posts are all going to be the treasures found on that May 29th trip.

Aprons Ahoy!

I am taking a break from posting about my thrift finds to talk about another purchase I made recently: these two ADORABLE aprons from The Apron Diva.

Black & White damask & polka dot half apron with pocket

Lemon half apron with pocket

Please forgive the fact that I didn't iron them before I took the picture. I fell in love with both of these aprons on her facebook site. I initially decided on the black and white damask half apron. I had to snatch it up before somebody else bought it. No matter what though, I couldn't stop thinking about the lemon one as well. It was so cheery. I could see myself using the lemon one in the spring/summer time and the damask one in the fall/winter. As luck would have it, a few days later The Apron Diva popped up at my work again. This time she happened to have the lemon one in her car. I knew I wouldn't forgive myself if I let that one get away too, so I bought that one as well. I am extremely pleased with both of my purchases. I highly recommend her for your high fashion apron needs.

Junior League Thrift Store

Yellow gloves = $0.50

Emily and I also stopped in the Junior League Thrift Store last Saturday. Normally I don't find anything in this store at all. I was lucky to pick up these cute little yellow cotton gloves with buttons and stitching. And for only 50 cents too. I couldn't resist.

Salvation Army

In continuing on with my first thrifting trip of the new year, Emily and I also went to The Salvation Army. I was sort of expecting to find a few more things there than I actually did. Oh well. Maybe next time.

Blue Glass Spray Bottle = $1.99

This is obviously missing the top half. Maybe some sort of pump or atomizer. Even though it is broken and obviously needs some cleaning, I am still quite enamored with it.

Two brown decorative bottles = $0.49 each = $0.98 total

It says "SB" on the front of each of the two bottles. They obviously have a twist cap so I don't think they are very old. I thought they were cool looking so I had to snatch them up.

Goodwill

Emily and I went on our first thrifting adventure of the new year yesterday. Our first stop was Goodwill.

Orange shirt = $4.00

Emily actually picked out this shirt for me. At first I wasn't so sure about it. But then after trying it on, I fell in love with the color and the fit. It is the perfect addition to adding more color to my wardrobe.

White frilly Wet Seal shirt = $4.00

Magnifying Glass = $0.79

Huge Moroccan Tea Pot = $5.99

The tea pot is actually quite huge. Bigger than any "tea pot" I have ever seen. I am going to use it as a watering can to water my plants with (that is about how big it is). It says "Made in Morocco" on the bottom and has a reference number which I can not make out.
